Committee News: January 2025

After taking a rest in December the village hall committee came back together in January.

​

• Since November three lights have been replaced making safer access for all.

• We celebrated the Christmas Market and Bonfire night events as well as the VH Christmas tree in church as part of the Christmas Tree festival.

• Formal opening of Gallimores Field will be in the spring. We would like ideas from the community on how you would like to use the field.

• Tickets for the historic building book tour taking place on 29th January are going well and we are looking forward to an interesting evening.

• The hall has hosted lots of children's and adult birthday parties which we hope were enjoyed by all.

• The 200 club still has numbers available. If you want to be in a chance to win a cash prize every month get in touch!

Committee News: November 2024

​

This month has seen some huge improvements to the village hall.

• Friels have kindly replaced the broken slabs around the hall.

• We have secured 15 new trees from the Woodland Trust to be delivered in March. 

• We will be looking to put up a new gate in Gallimores Field.

• Planning for the Christmas Market is underway to be held on Sunday 1st December.

• The Village Hall is 25 years old in February 2025, we will be looking to celebrate this remarkable event.

• Last but not least we have bought Gallimores Field for the use of the village! A consultation will take place at the Christmas Market to find out how the community would like to use this fantastic resource.
